I believe that you are whole as you are and that simply existing makes you deserving of support
Change is the process of making a million tiny different decisions. Let’s figure it out together.
WELCOME
it’s wonderful to have you in my little corner of the internet!
my name is Aliza/ah-lee-zah/ (they/them) and I am a genderqueer and queer nonbinary therapist who believes in:
the importance of speaking truth to power
our human-ness makes us perfectly imperfect
honoring the version of you who learned cope or survive
the overlapping systems within which we live massively influence our personal lives - they cannot be disentangled
the importance of working with our neurobiology in addition to the unseen, mystical or spiritual realm
talking about feelings is important; building safety so that you can truly feel them is essential
I’m so glad you’ve found me. Let’s find out if we’re a fit to work together, click below to schedule a consult call or head to my about me to learn more about my background and style of work.
with tremendous care and gratitude,
ALIZA
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH MEI would describe my style as compassionately direct.
You know how you feel. You’ve heard other therapists agree with you over and over again, and now you’re wondering what you’re missing because patterns keep repeating.
While there are many times where validation is necessary and therapeutic, I believe that therapy can also be a place where we learn to gently question what we hold to be true.
As a therapist,
As a spirit-seeker, I welcome your mystical, spiritual, and ancestral work. The spiritual and the religious are distinct though may overlap. Based on my lived experience as a Jewish person, I bring a lens that pushes against Christo-fascsist hetero-patriachal hegemony.
We might be a fit if…
We MIGHT BE A FIT IF…
You sometimes worry about being too much; too much with friends, at work, in love, in enjoyment, in pain, in therapy
You just lost someone or something; a person, a home, a friend, someone moved away, your pet died, etc

Death-loss is the most widely understood event connected with grief. But grief emerges anytime we lose a connection - supportive OR challenging - be it to death, moving, ending of cycles, climate collapse. I believe grief and loss is most effective when used as a lens on all human experiences.

Discovering your most authentic self can be both a joyous and difficult journey.

Our alphabet community continues to grow in understanding and in numbers.

Being human can be messy, and even moreso when we come into contact with OTHER raw, real people. Connection can be strained, confusing, difficult, or uncertain. Let’s unpack how you can show up differently in relationships in order to access what you are truly seeking from others.
-
We will always be discovering new versions of ourselves. Sometimes those versions are easy to love, and other times it can be more challenging.
-
Let’s be honest, the world was built with one brain in mind. Failing to meet arbitrary standards can be a signifcant source of anxiety.
-
Maybe you’ve described yourself as someone who “doesn’t really get angry”. Anger has been demonized by those in our society most welcomed to publicly perform this emotion, but is is essential that we all connect to this inner fire.

I believe in the mystery of living. I am Jewish and believe a critical lens towards Christo-fascist hetero-patriarchal hegemony is necessary
